Birchwood Park

1st Mon of Month 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Birchwood Park is a newer neighborhood park in the Bellingham. Positioned on a bluff above the new softball fields, and within walking distance on the trail system to Little Squalicum Beach and Bellingham Technical College, the park is central located to service the neighborhood.

Birchwood Park has covered picnic structures, a full basketball court, water fountains, and an open green area that can be used to play soccer. There is also a children play equipment gear towards 4 to 8 year olds. A level sidewalk system connects the covered picnic area; the children’s play equipment and the basketball courts, a great spot for children with training wheels on their bicycle wheels to practice. The downside to the park is that there is very little parking and the restrooms are just portable outhouses.

Birchwood Park is rumored to be an excellent place to watch the Four of July fireworks on the bay. Though the bay can not be viewed from the park it is in close proximity and has a clear sightline to the sky above the bay.
