Mount Bakery

My friend and I stopped here for lunch after doing a tour of the Radio Museum across the street. What a treat this place is. Nice and cozy, quiet, great windows, and great food! I also tried one of their desserts, and it was yummy! Friendly service. A great downtown spot!

My family and I parked on Champion Street right in front of Mount Bakery with the idea of having lunch. We needed some quarters for the parking meter. I went up to the clerk and asked for $1 changed to quarters and the clerk said, "Sorry we don't really have change. There's a bank down the street." I said fine I'll go have lunch down the street too. Sorry Mount Bakery, you have forever lost a customer.

My wife and I stop here every two weeks. When I find something I like I'm stuck on it and now I only order the sausage, cheese, and egg crepe which comes with salad or country potatoes (they're the best). The prices are very affordable as well.

The crepes we ordered were really blah. A rather small cheese crepe on a BIG plate with no, absolutely, no garnish. Beige on Beige. Plus it took forever for only having 2-3 tables at 2pm. and my personal pet peeve in dining..when the server acts like everything is juuust fine. It took forever! The portion is absurdly small and really plain! I think it's really cute but I will stick to coffee and sweets.

We are new to Bellingham and this was one of the first restaraunts we tried, driving by it looked cute and not crowded. Now when we go its very crowded but oh so worth it! They always remember us and rush to get a table ready. We lived in Seattle for 4 years and we think this restaraunt is better than any in Seattle. And Joann Tell: Sometimes working in a restaraunt can be very hectic maybe they were working on 8 busy tables and simply didnt have time to stop, its usually a good idea to have change on you when you go to have a meal in any downtown area.

My girlfriend and I took a day trip to Bellingham from Vancouver, BC. We found Mount Bakery completely by accident wondering around late in the afternoon looking for a snack and a good cup of coffee. The desert (I actually forget what I had because it was 4 months ago) was amazing but what really made the whole trip to Bellingham special is the welcome we received from Marise. Kind of rare to already feel like a member of a family after one visit, but that is exactly what it feels like. Thank you Marise for your hospitality and thank you Olivier for the care and love you put into your delicious food!

After viewing the Mount Bakery on A Taste of Bellingham (on our local channel KVOS), we wanted to check it out. The homemade Belgian desserts and pastries looked fresh and the cafe seemed very inviting. We ran across it during a drive through downtown Bellingham and came during closing hours when the kitchen was already closed and they were only serving dessert and drinks. Somewhat bummmed, we left and walked around downtown and after returning to our car parked in front of the bakery, the waitress ran out and offered us a complimentary cranberry rosemary loaf. Contrary to Joann's comment, they definitely gained two enthusiastic customers and we will be going back!

Regarding your previous comment, I believe that you are being horribly unreasonable. The Mount Bakery is loved by MANY for its wonderful and frankly unparalleled service. It should not be held responsible for services provided by a BANK! (Which really is just footsteps away!!) PLEASE! I urge you to reconsider you conviction.
