We have alot of good memories of Bloedel Park. I remember very vaguely being there during one of my many summers spent with my grandparents in Deming. My parents moved to Bellingham from San Jose back in 1981, and, visiting from our current residence in Rochester, NY, took our two young sons to climb the old train, feed the ducks and play in the playground. Even at ages 25 and 26, they still like to go there when they visit.
My sister and I took some refuge there during my mom's illness and subsequent death last year. Even this last September we found it to be peaceful and quiet. It will always have a special place in our hearts.
