Dimitri’s Greek and Italian Restaurant in downtown Ferndale is a pizza-lover's heaven. Thirty-two different pizzas are available to diners. Everything from just a simple cheese pizza to pizzas covered with shrimp, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, salami, artichokes and lean beef is available. Dimitri’s also has a variety of vegetarian pizzas. The clean and spacious Dimitri’s -- previously named Contos’ Pizza -- has many well-padded booths for diners to enjoy pizza or appetizers after the big game, or just to relax and talk with old friends. The well-lit restaurant reminds one of the Mediterranean coast, a place where good food and relaxation is a priority in life.

Besides having one of the best pizza menus in town, Dimitri’s boasts a wide variety of appetizers, salads, sub sandwiches, steaks, seafood, burgers, pastas and desserts -- a menu which lends itself to any taste. For those not confident enough to attempt downing the 12-ounce New York steak, the “Mermaid Kitchen” may provide a way out. The “Mermaid Kitchen” cooks up prawns, kalamaria and fish with a Greek flair. Appetizers include everything from onion rings to authentic Greek food.

Dimitri’s is very accessible for the disabled, as the gently sloped walkway to the restaurant is smoothly paved and not stepped. Reservations are not necessary. Dimitri’s is open daily for lunch and dinner. They also deliver within a five-mile radius. Dimitri’s is a short drive for those who desire a taste of the Mediterranean.

Take the Main Street exit from I-5 north. Turn right onto Main Street. Follow Main Street for approximately 3 miles. Dimitri's is on the left.

After almost 18 years, my wife Christine, and my two sons Jamie and Dylan still love Dimitris food. The key is consistency. Great job manoli and morina and staff. The Blakes!

Dimitri's food is wonderful and quite tasteful. It serves the best pasta around the county. They've since relocated to a different spot on main street which is a little more accessible. The staff are pleasant and easy to talk to.
