D’Anna’s most popular item is the ravioli. Several varieties of ravioli are available: One flavor is the spinach, Chardonnay, cheese and local mushroom ravioli; also try the meat, spinach, Chardonnay and cheese blend; or get the ricotta, romano and parsley mix. Customers have the option of ordering a dish with all three ravioli varieties. All entrees are served with salad and bread before the meal. The salad consists simply of greens and D’Anna’s own vinegrette. The bread is also unique. It is baked flat and topped with tomato sauce, cheese and herbs.

Sandwiches, chicken dinners and homemade Italian sausage dishes are also available, but get the ravioli. D’Anna’s Café Italiano is a rather quaint restaurant with somewhat limited seating. Table seating is available, as are bar stools at a counter. From the stools, diners can watch the chefs work their culinary magic, and, occasionally, the patron gets the opportunity to chat with them. Take-out is also available and can be ordered by phone or fax (see numbers above).

Perhaps Doctor James Devin was on self-prescribed meds the unfortunate evening he described at D'Anna's.Perhaps he was in another town or restaurant. I cannot fathom from his review.Pesonal vendetta perhaps? Maybe a rival competitor, with a chip on his shoulder? Who knows?I have been in this cafe probably twenty or thirty times and have been totally blown away with the quality of the food, service, and prices.Sincerely, there are hardly any better, true Italian eateries I have been to than D'Anna's. My favorite always are the raviolis.

you cannot compare d'annas to any other italian restraunt. the bread and salad that come before dinner are so amazing, that i would just come here for that. my favorite is the chicken parmesean...it is a milder dish, but still amazing. great for special occasions.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the wonderful food and good service at D'Anna's. I had the Seared Ahi Tuna and highly recommend it, and the spinach linguini that came with it was excellent. I only wish I had had room left over for dessert, but I'll have to wait for my next visit!

My wife and I finally made it to D'Anna's for a late lunch/early dinner. We were greeted and seated to a dirty table where we sat without water or a waiter for five minutes before we decided to relocate to a clean table closer to the window. Our waiter returned dismayed we had moved and asked, "Could you go back, this is more of a dinner table." I pointed to the still uncleaned table and said "no." Shrugging his shoulders he pulled up a chair to take our order. After taking our order he returned with our drinks, mixing up the order (we were one of three tables) and handing me my drink because "could you take this buddy, my hands are full." We then had the delight of listening to a busboy and cook argue loudly about what flatware was clean and who had to put it where. Highlights included such comments as "I don't care if it is clean or dirty, I'm putting it here." and "are you sure that's clean, I can see food on it." At this point our salads arrived, wilted, bland, and with our waiter’s thumb in the bowl. By the time or meal arrived I wasn't expecting much, and wasn't disappointed. My lasagna consisted of an abundance of cheese (to the point of gagging) with bland tomato paste blanked in black pepper. If you cannot get the flavoring right in the kitchen don't expect us to be impressed because you offer "fresh" black pepper. Our bill arrived, I can only assume our water had found a better home as it never made it to our table. The highlight was when the busboy (the only who couldn't tell if a fork was clean or dirty) started clearing our plates and wiping down the table as we finished our wine. He asked me to hand him my plate because “I’m in a hurry and the dinner rush is about to start.” At that point I paid my bill and walked out. I've eaten at restaurants thought-out the world and never have I received such a poor meal served by such poor service. For Danna's prices I would have expect much more, anything would have been an improvement. In retrospect I should have just gone to Pizza Hut for better service, prices, and a more authentic Italian mean. Respectfully, James R. Devlin, M.D. ret.

Our family was on vacation and my mom happened to find D'Anna's in one of her restaurant travel guides. That was the best Italian food I think I've ever eaten! We had great service as well as great food. I especially recommend the Ravioli. And that is from a twelve-year-old! Thanks!

I save dinners at D'Anna's for special occasions, and the trip always turns out to compliment them very well. I reccommend the Chicken Marsala or the Bruscellone, along with a glass of Chianti. My favorite italian restaurant in Bellingham.
