Description:
Giuseppe’s is an excellent fine-dining establishment in Bellingham worth trying out. The interior décor, like it’s menu, is authentic Italian. Inside, the warm colors, the terra-cotta style roofs, the window boxes filled with flowers, and the Romeo-and-Juliet balconies that embellish the high-ceilinged restaurant make you feel like you are sitting in the outdoor courtyard of an Italian villa. The low lighting and the Italian opera music playing softly in the background make for a very romantic atmosphere.

Giuseppe’s menu offers numerous spagetthi, tortellini and linguini pasta dishes and its main entrées include a wide-range of seafood, beef, veal, and chicken. It was difficult to decide between Salmone al Limone - fresh salman over a bed of spinach with lemon cream sauce and the Vitello alla Marsala -- tender veal scaloppini with mushrooms in a sweet marsala wine sauce. The veal won out. The meat was tender and the sauce light and full of flavor, wonderfully complemented by grilled green and red peppers and potatoes. In addition to my entrée, I ordered a Caesar salad, which, unlike many restaurants nowadays, was made using fresh egg yoke. What a difference it makes to the dressing. My husband selected a traditional pasta dish -- Tortellini Porscuiutto -- beef tortellini with ham and peas in a cream sauce. It was one of the lightest and yet savoury cream sauces I have ever tasted. For dessert, I enjoyed the Crème Caramel Custard served with strawberries -- the perfect light dessert to top off a lovely meal.

I also should not neglect to mention the wine list, which is also unique in that its international wine selection focuses almost exclusively on Italian wines, including many Chiantis. On the domestic side, wines from the Pacific Northwest, both red and white, have a strong presence.

Giuseppe’s Italian Restaurant makes good on its motto "you deserve to be pampered," and pampered you are, however be prepared for your wallet to take a hit.

My friend and I had dinner at Guiseppe's on Saturday February 16. We had the clams and mussels appetizer, caesar salad, tomato basil salad, halibut special, ravioli special and a chocolate puff pastry for dessert. The food and service were both fantastic. Our empty plates never sat for more than a few seconds and we always had a full glass. By the time we had all that food and a couple of drinks the bill was a high but well worth it. I would recommend Guiseppe's to everyone. Guiseppe, you should be proud of yourself and your staff.

My friend and I tried this rest. for the first time tonight. She is Italian and "vouched" for everything we had as being authentic! Our service was excellent, the food was incredible,(those tomatoes were just out of this world fresh!), actually, the meal was literally one of the best meals I've had in a very, very long time!! We both LOVED this place and will come back for sure. Thank you Guiseppe's, for a wonderful and memorable time!

The food was great, but more than anything, we really really enjoyed the service our busser provided...a tall exuberant youth with glasses, a beard, and the voice of an angel. Although i am very happily married, with the way his grey slacks hugged his man-curves, i was forced to sit an extra minute after paying the bill to think "ugly thoughts." - John John

Horrible Service, waited 10mins for a glass of wine, to be asked!! Ordered our food, never came, the waiter realized the staff had left from the kitchen, next we see the waiter throwing the food together at the last minute-all we got in return was a free glass of wine-he had us fill out a survey /comment card, asked for our birth dates and anniversary, so we figured well that's ok, we'll get something for one of those to make up for the horrible night, but never saw anything come to us in the mail!!! welll, we never be back again and i've let everyone know at one of the biggest businesses inBellingham how horrible it was......nice going!!! you could have made it up, probably lost the comment card, great job.

Wow. In the second sentence a three letter word, "its" is misspelled, and then the word "spaghetti". Not good for the review of an Italian restaurant. The word it's is a contraction meaning 'it is' or 'it has'; 'its' is a possessive, as in "like its menu". Then "salmon" is misspelled! But the rest of the review is helpful. Silent Bob

Six of us dined at Giuseppe's on Sept 8th, his grand re-opening. The food was fabulous as always, evry body was thrilled with their selections. The service was very good, especially for an opening night. We all look forward to another night of fine dinning at Giuseppe's soon.

Excellent food but!!! Out of every red wine they were willing to serve by the glass Out of bread Never refilled water glasses Never cleared salad plates, simply shoved aside to make room for dinner plates For the money, need to do far, far better regarding above points.
