Description:
Have you ever wished you could go for ice cream at a place that was a little out of the ordinary? Ever wanted to keep the kids entertained (even after the ice cream was gone) while you finished your conversation? How about enjoying a homemade milkshake or malt on a college budget?
Mallard Ice Cream is the place for you. Step inside and you’ll find brightly painted walls, modern furniture, a small counter with a single register, and beautiful handcrafted flavor tags on the back board, each one vastly different from the others. A miniature multi-colored table against one wall provides the perfect spot for kids; crayons and board games tempt all ages from the shelves. Art hangs on the one brick wall. Community leaflets stashed in the corner remind of the latest local events. And, most likely, you’ll only be one of several in line.
All of the ice cream here is homemade. Mallard offers the traditional chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry, as well as some familiar “specialty” flavors, like mint oreo, peanut butter, and chocolate raspberry. But even I was surprised to find chai tea and mocha breve on the menu, enticing me to return in the near future. The ice cream comes in “inner child,” small, and medium sizes, and is available in a cone or a dish. For those looking for something a little more adventurous, all ice cream can be made into shakes or malts, or try a brownie sundae or a banana split. Need something to warm you when you’re finished? Mallard serves coffee, hot chocolate, hot tea, chai tea, and espresso. Italian sodas and some bottled pop is also available.
Mallard Ice Cream is worth checking out, whether you’re looking to discover a new flavor or just a homemade version of your favorite. And look for the mascot: a Mallard duck decoy perched on the partial wall.

I love to relax with a friend or two and play a game of connect four while enjoying my delicious homemade Mallard's Ice Cream. It's great!

Marvelous ice cream. Try lemon with lavender, or green tea and earl grey together, or the black pepper vanilla. Quite simply the most inventive flavors and friendly staff. Bus your own table, great prices.

The description falls sadly short of how amazing Malard is! The ice cream is the best anyway, but the flavors change all the time. She's surprised by Mocha? Try the Rose or the Cayanne Chocolate or the Basil! Whatever you get, it will be amazing and your life will be better for it.

Mallard is now at 1323 Railroad Street. You could do folks a favour by adding a note to that effect.

Best ice cream on Earth--and probably any other ice cream bearing planets.
