Directions
Mykonos is located right behind Hampton's Inn near the airport.
Description:
For many years, the Bellingham airport area has been sorely lacking in dining spots. Since the region surrounding the airport has grown, the opening of Mykonos Greek Restaurant has helped fill that niche. Conveniently located near Interstate 5 behind the Hampton Inn, the restaurant draws business from the airport, the Interstate, and the nearby hotels. Owners Karen and Dimitri Pantoleon have the savvy necessary for success as restaurateurs, having run Syros in Lynden for 12 years. By building Mykonos from scratch, they were able to create a dining spot with a uniqueness all its own.
Enter the upscale eatery and experience a taste of the Mediterranean. To the lobby's right is a bar; straight-ahead is a receiving area where a friendly host or hostess is ready to seat you. To the left is the spacious dining room that seats 120 and is regularly filled each day at lunch and dinner. Diners are surrounded by a luxurious, high-ceiling interior with Corinthian columns and statues, creating a romantic atmosphere.
Mykonos, named after a Greek island, features authentic Greek fare. Dimitri is a native of Tripolis, Greece and uses many family recipes learned from his mother and sister. The delicious pita bread is made fresh in house daily and goes well with the mouthwatering, garlicky humus appetizer. Traditional dishes include moist, tender chicken or lamb souvlaki; zesty Greek salad; sumptuous vegetarian moussaka (eggplant and zucchini); or briam (oven-roasted vegetables with feta cheese and a light, savory tomato sauce). Lunch and dinner prices are reasonable, especially considering the generous portions served.

I had the pleasure of eating at mykonos while visiting Bellingham, Washington for a week. I had plenty of oppurtunities to eat at other great resturants in the Bellingham area while there, however I went in the first night of my visit and I was hooked. I ate there every day! The food was delcious and irrestiable! The service was amazing! The family that owns the resturant is so welcoming, generous, and make the dinning experience worth going back again and agian!!!

Mykono's is the best Greek restaurant i have had. I drive from Canada just to eat there. The roasted patatoes, and spanakopita meal are amazing!

I know my life is not nearly as great as it was whenever i was in Mykonos. The people that own it definatly make it special.

I enjoyed the "Arni Psito" with N.Z. lamb and roast potatoes, washed down with an Alaskan ale, all for just $20. The staff were gregarious, making me feel just like one of their many regulars from the moment I walked in.

Mykonos is a great addition to the Bellingham restaurant community. I have been to Greece, and I have had the pleasure of authentic greek food, and I tell ya, Mykonos is just as good as Greece. The service is wonderful, the settings are beautiful, and the food is great what more could we ask form a restaurant. Im just glad the cuple planted the restaurant right here in Bellingham. I encourage my fellow townsmen to try the wonderful restaurant.

Go nuts on the goodies, but only if you've got an expense account and a reservation.
