Description:
Home away from home -- the ideal lodgings for the road-weary traveler and an almost impossible ideal for most motels and hotels to achieve. For the traveler stopping off in Bellingham, the Best Western Heritage Inn comes closer than most, and at a price point that allows even the budget-conscious traveler to sleep well. The Inn’s architecture is New England colonial, complete with dormers, shutters and pale blue siding. The lobby is small, with a living room-like sitting area and a breakfast room just off the check-in area, where guests can enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast and catch the morning news on CNN. A new, larger breakfast room is in the works and will be located in the "coachhouse" building just across from the lobby.

Guest rooms are very clean and a cut above the typical hotel room, with residential-type cherrywood furniture and paisley bedding. For the romantic, the Inn has ten "canopy queen" rooms, which feature a cherrywood rice canopy bed, complete with step-stool. These rooms have the ambience of a Victorian bed and breakfast. Additional amenities include wheelchair-accessible rooms, conference facilities, an outdoor pool, jacuzzi, complimentary passes to a local athletic club, complimentary limousine service to the airport, same day drycleaning/laundry service, and room service provided by a nearby restaurant. The room service ends at 10:00 pm, however, something for the late-arriving traveler to keep in mind.

The Inn is comprised of three buildings, each housing approximately 30 rooms. One of the three buildings is located fairly close to the I-5 exit ramp and while the noise level may not be enough to bother most sleepers, very light sleepers may want to request a room further away. The Best Western Heritage Inn is within walking distance to a dozen restaurants and Bellis Fair Mall, and offers a welcome rest at the end of your day’s travels.
