Phad Thai is in the Cordata shopping center, next to Starbucks Coffee and across the parking lot from Costco. Description: Walking into Phad Thai (aptly named for the most well-known of Thailand’s noodle dishes) you may be at first captivated by the enormous elephant tusks framing the front desk. As you look beyond the ivory you’ll see a spacious and airy dining room, painted a vibrant curry orange. Dark, rough-hewn wood tables and benches provide a striking contrast to the walls. The kitchen space is visible behind a high counter at the far end of the dining room, and the dining room itself is organized around the martini and sushi bar in the center of the room. Yes, you read that correctly -- Phad Thai operates a martini and sushi bar, Wednesday through Sunday from 4 pm until closing time. You’ll find a section in the menu devoted to it, and though it isn’t as extensive as that of a Japanese restaurant, it’s generous enough to make Phad Thai a place to go for sushi. Flipping past the sushi section, you’ll begin to realize that the menu at Phad Thai is extensive, and even includes a section with eleven items on it, prepared to accommodate the dietary considerations of both diabetic and vegan clientele. (It’s comforting to know that the kitchen will help you with your Thai food craving, regardless of dietary restrictions.) Freshness and quality of ingredients at Phad Thai is emphasized, and when your food arrives it will look as good as the colorful photos illustrating the menu. The Panang Curry will be filled with fresh and colorful bell peppers, and the spice and citrus flavors in the Seafood Salad will be delicious Written By: Lisa Holt Map In This Category
