Description:
Bellingham has some good pizza restaurants but my hope of finding a GREAT pizza place in town was starting to fade. A friend mentioned that there was an amazing restaurant located in a Sudden Valley shopping center. Great pizza is almost never found in a shopping center, much less a tiny one in Sudden Valley, I scoffed. And yet, it is true! The eight-mile drive out to Tino’s Pizza & Pasta Company is worth it.
One test of great pizza is to try the cheese. A cheese pizza can’t hide behind any fancy toppings and the sauce makes or breaks the whole thing. Tino’s has great cheese pizza. The popular veggie pizza has artichoke hearts, onion, olives, mushrooms, green peppers, spinach, tomatoes and extra cheese. Other popular specials include the pesto, the Mexi, barbequed chicken, the meat lover’s pizza and the Tino’s special, with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, sausage, green peppers, olives, mushrooms, onions and extra cheese. The morning-after test is another way to test pizza. Tino’s pizza holds up well for breakfast and even tastes good eaten cold. Another plus: the almost obscene size of the portions. One pasta dish could provide up to three meals. The calzones cover an entire dinner plate and the servers seem to get a good workout carrying them across the room. Tino’s calzones have homemade dough with three kinds of cheese: mozzarella, Parmesan and ricotta. Sandwiches are also on the menu (meatball, turkey, turkey dip au Jus, beef dip, Italian sausage, veggie and others.)
Other nice things about Tino’s include the bottomless soft drinks, cheesecake or spumoni ice cream for dessert, and a selection of beers on tap. The atmosphere is relaxed and a big screen television can help you take your mind off the world. But if the outside world is just too much, the restaurant delivers--but only in Sudden Valley and after 5 p.m.

I have loved going to Tino's on vacation before I moved here. Their pizza is great and their turkey marinara sandwich is beyond good, but their service is awful, simply awful. One waitress seems asleep and forgets orders, drinks and checks. She threw away my paperwork when I left to go to the washroom once, it was covered in garlic and sauce. She is so awful, I haven't been there in 2 years and I will never go back.

I have been out in Sudden Valley now for three years and have given Tino's many chances through out the years and have found them to sometimes be GREAT and other times down right horrible. The lack of consistency keeps me from ordering from them on a regular basis. Luckily for them they haven't much competition out here. With some consistency though I would become a regular customer.

My 14 month old daughter is addicted to the chicken fettuchini alfredo...(its not me...its not me...) and so we have a mom and daughter day out about once a month (ok...maybe its more like 3 times a month..but dont tell daddy) and she devours the garlic bread while Im cutting up the noodles and on rare occasions I actually get to eat some too. :) its wonderful and they always give us way more than we can eat so we can have leftovers for the next day.

Karl, Kerri & Co. do a bang up job. Great food at a reasonable price. I'm a personal chef, but sometimes I get sick of my own food. Tino's doesn't cut corners and the service is top notch.

Hi, my name is Molly and I am a Tino's addict. My kids and I have been frequenting Tino's on a regular basis for almost two years now. I cannot even begin to express the appreciation we have for Tino's. Carl, Kerri, Tubby, Kyle and all the gang have it handled quite well. The pizza is number one, the pasta is delicious and the salmon ceasar is one of our favorites. We have celebrated birthdays, ordered takeout for lakeside eating and even walked out last year when we were snowed in. We were heading for the market and found that Tino's was open and warm! An oasis in a snowstorm for sure. Our greatest compliments to the staff...the pizza and all the hard work!!
Your loyal patrons,
molly, claire, jay and manda

Tino's is one of the best places in Whatcom County for Pizza and Pasta. The small restaurant atmosphere along with the generous portions add to the overall quality and feel of the Sudden Valley
Italian restaraunt.
