Corner of Front & 3rd Downtown Lynden Description: Set amidst beautiful Lynden, the Lynden Pioneer Museum has many fun and exciting experiences to offer. Be sure to explore the historic downtown area around the museum as you peek into its many shops and learn about the Dutch heritage of the community. At the museum, one can discover the history of Lynden. Its exhibits span five large and two small galleries, giving you an insight into the settlement and growth of Lynden and the Nooksack valley. The museum also explores the history of transportation from horse to horsepower, and the impact of World Wars I and II, and the Korean conflict on Whatcom County. Take part in classes and workshops or attend tours and presentations that will give you an opportunity to learn about local history -- in depth and hands on. Visitors can look into a full-size pioneer homestead and stroll down a life-size replica of historic Front Street at the turn of the century. Also present is the largest collection of horsedrawn vehicles in the state and a collection of more than 20 vintage automobiles and tractors, some of which cannot be seen anywhere else.
